HIV Antibody, Blood
A 6ml plain clotted blood sample is required. Risk factors must be stated and a signed receipt of a request is assumed to indicate the patient's informed consent to the test.
The test is available, via a medical practitioner, to anyone wishing to know their HIV status. Specimens may be sent in sealed envelopes marked "Virus Lab - confidential". Reports may also be sent confidentially if requested.
